Arwen's meanderings

Hi everyone and welcome to my new blog. My name is Steve and I am the lucky owner of a John Welsford designed 'navigator' named Arwen. I built her over three years with the help of my father, father-in-law and two children. She was launched in August 2007 at Queen Anne's Battery marina in the Barbican area of Plymouth. This blog is a record of our voyages together around SW England.
Arwen has an associated YouTube channel so visit to find our most recent cruises together.

Well I suspect you will (enjoy it).. I did it a couple of years ago (just checked and it was 2011! Yee gods where did that time go?) and I did, though I didn't find it easy... :o))

...did the coastal Skipper the next winter, and funny enough I think I found that easier??

I'm dreading it in a fun sort of way - it is back to school and using my brain after several months....this is going to be sooooo hard!!
