Hopefully I may be able to get a couple of days overnighting up Salcombe creeks such as Southpool and Frogmore over the next week or so.
Tides are building up to springs with HT around 0630 onward for the week. Winds are from the NW or north around 12 kts although there are some nasty gusts around 20kts or so, which of course, will spill off the surrounding plateau slopes and whistle down the various valleys and creeks.
Anyway, batteries are being charged for cameras and drone and power packs have all been charged up over this last week. Galley boxes are packed. Mast fittings (after last week's disaster) checked and triple checked.
It just remains to pack sleeping gear, toiletries and clothes and get Arwen off the drive and onto the road when neighbours are out and not parked opposite the drive.

Hi Steve - where do you launch and park in Salcombe? I'm guessing the car park and slipway at the top of town? Or do you launch at Kingsbridge and sail down the harbour?

Hi Max - always Batson Creek at Salcombe - which is off to one side of the town. Good slipway with pontoon - nightmare during height of summer when it is occupied by boaters who don't care about ramp etiquette etc.
It allows me to call in at harbour office if need-be via whitestrand pontoon and then I can head out into the fairway and down to the bar and estuary mouth or I can head up river depending on wind and tide. main problems a height of summer are finding a car park space in nearby car park and then finding space for trailer in trailer park - almost impossible - you can't reserve a place in boat park unless paying for a week at a time - ho hum!
for a day sail or one overnight stop you practically just have to turn up and hope and take pot luck.
