I was right. Wind made progress up river difficult
Having sailed part way around drakes island I resorted to motor through the dock and ferry area.
Having made it to mouth of Lynher, I now sit on a mooring awaiting tide to build. On the little beach directly opposite me is a heron. It is stretching out its wings to soak up the sunshine...an amazing site. A Cornish shrimper, sails covered away and a cockpit cover pulled taut across it rides at its buoy, its bow facing up the Lynher, as if it is ready to go. After a bite to eat I will use the mizzen to point into the wind, raise the sails and attempt to sail off this mooring.
Wish me luck....I have only ever done such a manoeuvre once before.....and that was a right pigs mess. Enough said!!!
