Up a creek but with a paddle.....Southpool Creek in Kingsbridge estuary

Last night was spent up Southpool Creek, part of the Kingsbridge estuary complex. Very peaceful once the pub visitors in their ribs had departed back for Salcombe.

Around the corner is the head of navigation - a stream under a bridge!

Alongside a visitor pontoon - the last of the pub visiting boats have departed

8pm and the tide is beginning to ebb fast

Tent is up but night time sleeping arrangements have yet to be sorted

Earlier that evening......................

By 2130 the tide has gone leaving only the stream, swans, geese, wading birds
and squirting cockles in the mud
