An article about Arwen can be found at http://duckworksmagazine.com/2018/03/30/setting-up-and-getting-the-best-out-of-a-sprit-boomed-standing-lug-sail/

I posted the blog content relating to the article earlier this month so you can scroll down the menu on the right to find it.

I expect part 2 will be published within the next fortnight.

As I said in the article, I'm no expert on anything to do with sailing , least of all sail rigs, sail setting and sail trimming. So the articles are based on my limited experiences thus far. As always constructive comment always welcomed below.

  1. Steve, you did build your boat, so you get a lot of credit. That's more than most sailers achieve. Anyway, I am happy to hear you are working on the sail trim.

  2. Hello photocurio. Happy Easter Monday to you. I am working on sail trim. About time too really. I am, as we say in the education profession, a late starter or a slightly slower paced learner. In both cases my experience is that such learners always catch up their peers at some stage; and frequently they have insights and contributions that offer much for discussion and reflection. I have a long way to go to become skilled nd knowledgeable sailor but I am slowly getting there. It is the journey, not the destination.......and all that.

Wait until you read the second article.........heehee!! Good to hear from you and hope you are well.
