Dinghy cruising: cruising equipment - What do you carry in your boat?

I know........there is bound to be something I've missed off.  Charts, navigation equipment, it is all there somewhere!

  1. It looks as though you've covered all eventualities (I'll avoid any mention of a kitchen sink), but did I miss books in your video? I recommend Patrick O'Brien's Aubrey series which you can read and read again, although I'll be surprised if you haven't come across them.
Have you got clingfilm and superglue for your first-aid kit? The former is sterile straight off the roll and keeps dressings on burns and scalds from sticking and you can see the healing progress. The latter is good for minor cuts (bringing the edges together)and broken nails(finger- and toe-!).
    Have a busy summer!

  2. No, by all means mention kitchen sink - I agree - a serious declutter is needed. Books come and go and agree with your recommendations. I'm also an Alexander kent/Douglas Reeman fan as well; depending on how stressed I am feeling. I carry burn dressings and also steri strips although I have had superglue used on a head wound before now. all good tips Stuart - thanks
