Not enough words to describe the afternoon. A pageant fit for a Queen.
Well done and thank you to everyone who took part.

  1. Thanks Steve for the lovely postings on the Queen's pageant and all the rest of your terrific blog.

With my lovely wife the anglophile driving the DVR, we've watched hours of the CNN coverage and that of ABC News.

I'd like to apologize for Katie Couric; she's an insufferable twit in my opinion.

    Keep up the great postings.

  2. You should have seen the concert last night......350,000 along mall; in the park and outside B Palace; and the cheer for Prince Phillip....well I'm convinced that was probably a guiness book of records loudest cheer ever.

we saw the beacons being lit from our house high up on the moors

we are a funny old lot aren't us british......in the middle of a recession; high unemployment; swingeing cuts to public services; changes to our pensions and all....yet we know how to celebrate and party and say thank you to someone who has been a constant in our lives and nation for 60 years

I'm first and foremost a welshman; but I am rather proud to call myself British after that!
